Yahaya Bello Renames Kogi State University after Audu Abubakar
Governor Yahaya Bello has renamed the Kogi State University after late Prince Audu Abubakar, the first civilian governor of the state. Governor Bello renamed the 15-year-old university “Prince Abubakar Audu University” in a broadcast on Friday to the people of the state at his office in Lokoja, the Kogi State’s capital in northern Nigeria. He said that naming the university was the ultimate honour that could be done to the memory of the late colourful politician who ruled the state twice as the civilian governor from 1991 to 1993 and 1999 to 2003.
