FG Formally Bans Post-UTME, Orders Strict Compliance
The Federal Government has formally banned the conduct the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). If any tertiary Institution has already conducted Post-UTME, such an exercise stands annulled and money taken from such candidates must be refunded immediately. The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu has reiterated the ban on the Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, otherwise known as Post-UTME, saying that the ban is with immediate effect. State Universities Demand Autonomy on Admission Policy
Vice Chancellors of state-owned universities appealed to the federal government to give them autonomy on admission modalities. The Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (AVCNU) has asked the federal government to consider possibility for allowing the senates of their institutions prescribe the modalities for admission.
